IT Senior Developer / Tech Lead, Vice President
Who we are looking for
State Street is looking for a Senior Developer / Tech Lead in the Alternatives Investment Services team with 10+ years of experience developing enterprise scale applications. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of financial domain, preferably of Alternatives. The candidate will work closely with business and IT staff across BUs and geographies.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
What you will be responsible for
As Senior Developer / Tech Lead you will
• Design and develop Data Services / APIs for Alternatives
• Ensure alignment with Digital Experience strategy and product roadmap
• Lead Agile development team to develop value added services for Alternatives
• Work closely with the Product Owner and others on requirements analysis, scrum planning, and execution
• Support production systems to ensure business continuity and continuous improvement of applications supported
• Provide expert level troubleshooting on large, mission critical client/project implementations.
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment
What we value

• Strong hands on experience with Java Software development frameworks like Spring boot & Hibernate.
• Strong hands on experience with RESTful API development with exposure to Google Apigee platform. Good understanding of Open API specification.
• Strong hands on experience in SQL development with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Sybase.
• Strong hands on experience with testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Gherkin & Cucumber.
• Demonstrate understanding of one or more of the following CSPs (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform etc.) and the respective technology stack.
• Exposure to messaging services like Kafka/Rabbit MQ.
• Experience working with any observability tools chains.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
• Experience leading, motivating, coaching and developing people and teams.
• Great interpersonal skills, team-work attitude and drive collaborative initiatives.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Requires a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
• 10 or more years multi-platform, multi database and/or multi language experience
• 10 or more years of hands-on SQL development with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Sybase
• 5 or more years of hands-on experience with RESTful Services & multi-threaded programming
• 5 or more years of experience writing unit tests for automated unit testing framework, knowledge & application of design patterns
• 2 or more years of hands-on experience with React JS & Web APIs
• 2 or more years hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
• 2 or more years of experience with Event-driven, Micro-services, and Serverless development patterns

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $195,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
